Had a very nice impromptu lunch with my younger son today; (turning bad into good, I had some free time due to a client no-show). He made a comment about jobs and working and the expectations of his friends about their working lives, and then demanded a list of all the jobs I have had in this life to date.
It was kind of entertaining making the list, a bit scary, and probably shows major indecision and instability on my part. Or pimp up that thought and make it flexibilty and the ability to turn my hands and talents to anything? Hhmmm...
But here it is, my working life so far:
Deli counter assistant at Coles
Table clearing at airport buffet restaurant
Waitress - too many places to list
Cocktail bar maid
Wine waiter
Book shop assistant - several places
Book buyer
Motel Manager
Bread shop Manager
Rep for cheese wholesaler
Wine tasting girl
Makeup sales
Wine rep
Marketing - wine industry
Food and wine journalist
New Age retailer
Alternative health practitioner
TTM practitioner - or as Mathew calls me, travelling Druid Tibetan Healer Voodoomancer
There must be stuff I have forgotten, the single big thing is not the variety but the fact that for most of the last 20 years I have worked for myself, and I love that!
So there you go Mathew, your list!
Unpaid house keeper
Unpaid child minder
Unpaid cook
Unpaid gardner
