Happy New Year!
Lunar new year that is.
On the 3rd we had the first new moon of this year, much more significant than our calendar new year at the end of December, which is expedient rather than energetic. And it is often the way of things, for me anyway, that much of January is spent putting the old year to bed.
This new year is very welcome. The heavy energies, the strange and awful world events we have been experiencing have been hard to take for all of us. New moon energy gives us a chance to reflect, and create intentions for our future. Doing it as we move towards the full moon means we do so in a growing cycle of energy. Plant your seeds now, literally or metaphorically, they are both good!
