It's Monday morning, I am trying to get myself ready for work, a full book of patients today.
Instead all I can think about is the horror of what is happening in Tibet right now. The desperation that drives these terrible acts of sacrifice.
Please.
I know you can't hear, see or read this, you don't know me, we may never meet, but please - no more dead Tibetans. Please don't take this terrible path.
This is your sister calling out to you, you have given me more than I can ever give back, you have welcomed me time and time again with open arms and kindess, you have so much of my heart, please - no more deaths.
This is not intended to take anything away from these cries to the world, they are a kind of heroism most of us can't begin to understand. But it is not the answer either.
This is the face we want to see.
I can't begin to imagine anything more heartbreaking than this picture of His Holiness weeping.
